President, NAINA January 2011
Dear NAINA family and potential members,
2011 New Year greetings to you all! I would like to thank you for the opportunity and honor of being the president of NAINA for the next two years. I am thrilled to serve this incredible association and its extraordinary members. NAINA has made a lot of progress since its inception in 2006.
It is always relatively easier to lead an organization that is flourishing. Much of the credit for the growth and development of NAINA needs to go to Dr. Omana Simon, the immediate past president and her extraordinary leadership team as well as Mrs. Sara Gabriel, the first president of NAINA and her team. The founders of NAINA – Aney Paul, Sara Gabriel, Aleyamma Samuel, Ammal Bernard, Ann Varghese, Mary Thomas, and Marykutty Kuriakose deserve much appreciation, undoubtedly. The financial situation of NAINA is much healthier today than it was before and membership has grown. The well coveted and recently obtained 501 c (3) status is a major mile stone.
NAINA will continue to grow and develop with the support of its committed leadership, members, and chapters. We are looking forward to build on the strengths of this association. Together with the new executive committee and the members of the new governing body we will continue to move forward, striving for excellence in every endeavor we undertake.
As with any established organizations, we have some challenges ahead: getting our members involved and serving them, recruiting new members, establishing new chapters, and much more! Along with meeting these challenges for years 2011 and 2012, to include to the goals are: improving communication, designating responsibility fairly, and getting a pool of mentors to shadow others as needed. I encourage you to reach out, to contribute, to volunteer, and to get involved. In order to rise to the challenge we must embrace and accept one another, break down any barriers, and work together.
If you have any suggestions or questions, please feel free to contact me. Your voice is important to me, as it is to all of NAINA and we can’t do this without you. I wish to acknowledge my respect and heart-felt gratitude to the previous executive committees and boards for all the good work they have done to have NAINA in its present situation!
On behalf of NAINA executive board I wish you all a prosperous and successful year. Trusting completely in the Almighty God and seeking your full support,
