2019 Novel Coronavirus
What you need to know
From the Desk of the NAINA President
My dear fellow nurses at NAINA,
I write this message to you, as we are going through unprecedented burdens with the Corona Virus pandemic. I am fully aware that many of you today are compassionately caring for the patients who are suffering from this devastating illness with perhaps less than adequate PPE supplies due to the national scarcity. Please be assured that I am adding my voice to advocacy groups in support of fast supply of adequate PPE for your safety and the safety of all healthcare workers.
I would like to take a moment to applaud your commitment and dedication to your patients, putting the needs of your patients before yours. I am incredibly proud of your devotion and want to say thank you for serving as professional nurses. You are the reason that many patients will feel better and recover and thank you for your selfless care.
As a fellow nurse, I am extremely proud of you for your courageous and strong sense of purpose and above all for your willingness to risk your life in the service of others. What better way to commemorate the Year of the Nurse (2020) and elevate the standard of the nursing profession.
I salute each one of you and pray that God keep you safe and sound through these trying times.
Stay safe, promote safety for your loved ones, friends and neighbors, maintain social distance, wash your hands and use barrier precautions always.
Please know that God loves you and so do we at the Governing Board of NAINA.
With all good wishes,
Agnes Therady, NAINA President
