The Omana Simon Graduate Student Research Award

The Omana Simon Graduate Student Research Award 

Faculty approved research proposals from graduate nursing students of Indian origin who are currently enrolled in Graduate research/ dissertation courses in the United States are eligible for this award.  Priority areas for research proposals are listed below, although deserving proposals related to any area of nursing research will be considered.

(1) Improvement of nursing education 
(2) Improvement of nursing practice
(3) Reduction of health disparities

The deadline for submission of completed research proposals is June 30, 2016. 
The winner will be awarded $500.00 towards completion of the research project.

NAINA Nursing Excellence Awards

NAINA Nursing Excellence Awards

NAINA recognizes outstanding service in the advancement and practice of nursing through the Nurse Excellence Awards.  These awards are given out to deserving individuals in the following categories:

(1) Clinical Practice-Staff RN

(2) Clinical Practice-Advance Practice RN/Nurse Educator/Administrator

(3) Nightingale Award

The nominee and nominator must be current NAINA membersin good standing with a minimumof one year of membership.

NAINA Chapter Excellence Award

The Rolling Trophy for NAINA Chapter Excellence Award is presented biennially to recognize the accomplishments of an outstanding local chapter of NAINA.

Chapters are evaluated on several criteria:

  • Professional Development/ Education

  • Community service/ Charity Initiatives
  • Public Relations
  • Cultural/ Social programs
  • Contribution to NAINA
  • Compliance with NAINA requirements
